hi. i own a isuzu 3.2 trooper manual trans.when i start the vehicle it revs up to 2000 rpm and would not go down even when driving.i have checked for vacume leaks and found nothing.Most recently when driving because of the high revs my clutch was smelling because of changing gears. Can you please tell me what could be wrong

if you are asking me the year of the isuzu trooper ? it is a 1998 model. I disconnccted most of the vacume lines individuly and connected them back but the revs still climbed back to between 2000-2500 rpm.

the year of the isuzu is 1998 the check engine lights stays on i have piched off vacume hoses

It sounds like there may be a problem with the IAC valve, (idle air control) but you must first see what code(s) are in it to be sure. Autzone will do that for free. Images available only to Customers.

hi.again i am emailing from the caribbean.i am awaiting an iac (idle air control)from Florida when i do replace it do i have disconnect the computer in order for the vehicle to function normaly? The reason i am asking is because i took an iac from my wifes car she has a isuzu rodeo 2 wheel auto trans 3.2 engine and when i put it on the trooper i got the same 2ooo-2500 high rev .Also where do i find the codes so i can identfy it with the problem.Awaiting a reply.
