I have a 2001 Infiniti QX-4 with a Bose (Clarion?) radio/cassette/6 rack cd player. I rarely use the cd player but now I get "ERR 3" when trying to play a cd. Everything else works perfectly. Any suggestions/tips/ideas?

Already Tried:
I have tried all 6 racks, same response. I have used brand new cd's, same response. Service advisor at Infiniti said I will probably end up spending about $400 to have it taken out and repaired. He had no idea what the problem could be.
