i have a 1995 infiniti g20 i just put in the water ...

i have a 1995 infiniti g20
i just put in the water pump.and i forgot to put the ground wire.the same night the battery died.new i have had the altenater tested and its fine and i have charged the battery 5 times.and i have goten a new one .if you step on the brake it takes power fromthe battery.and a new battery only last abot 1/2 a day.i have tried everthing what do you think
