Daughters 1991 Q20 Infiniti will not start at times, try it next day it starts. It will quit running while driving suddenly as the rpm and guages also stop working. Wait for a while and it will start. Local mechanics tested the computer board and replaced fuel filters, cleaned injectors and tuned it, but it still stops or fails to start at times. They can't find anything wrong, any ideas? W. Davenport

Greetings Customer (name blocked for privacy),

Have the technicians check the crankshaft position sensor...this is a common failure when the vehicle gets hot especially...let car sit awhile and it will start up again...also the fact that you lose the tach signal is a good indication that this is your problem because RPM signal is absent when this sensor fails...If I can be of further assistance please let me know...jeffrey590
