I have a 2002 hyundai accent, 1.6L DOHC. I was replacing my timing belt. I removed the belt and was about to remove the camshaft gear bolt. I forgot about anchoring the camshaft gear still and ended up turning the camshaft a little bit counterclockwise (about 3 or 4 teeth length). At this point what should I do? Should I line the camshaft back up with the tdc line? Even though I didn't make a full rotation backwards or forwards, did I damage anything? If I can bring the camshaft back forward to where is was, what if it's not super exactly where it was before? Is there any way to be sure I line it up again before putting the belt on and starting the car?
