2006 Hyundai Tucson - Exhaust Hangers ...

2006 Hyundai Tucson. How do I lower the exhaust so I can install a receiver hitch? Can the rubber hangers be reused, or must I cut them off and replace when raising the exhaust?

Yes the rubber hangers can be reused so do not cut them. If they are the type that slide over a rod, the just have to be pryed off the rod.

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: But there are nubs at the end of the rods, so the hanger does not just slide over them, and a moderate amount of pressure does not cause the rubber hanger to move. There is no indication these will slide without assistance. Any suggestions?

I'm aware of the nubs and they are there to prevent it from sliding off by itself. They do come of that way. It'd going to take more than moderate pressure. I have a special pair of pliers that pushes them off. Sometimes using a prybar will help a lot. They don't come off easy but they do come off.
