How do you replace the side view mirror (glass only) ...

How do you replace the side view mirror (glass only) on a 2001 Hyundai Sonata? I've tried to pry it off but it's not coming off easily. I don't want to break anything. Is prying it off the right way to do it? Thanks in advance.

Already Tried:
prying mirror glass with flat chisel but afraid to pull too hard it might break.
