i want to replace a faulty one

You will need to remove the air cleaner assembly from the engine to the air filter box. After you have that out of the way you will be able to follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. Once you get to the engine you will see a cast housing. This is the thermostat housing. This is where it is located. Here is a picture of the upper intake so that you can better see where it is.
