I have a 1995 GMC Yukon and the four wheel drive is not working. I was told it might be some kind of swith that needs replacing. Any suggestions?

no, there is no service light on and the only thing that lights up is on the shifter when it is working. It does not light up now.

Yes, I have a shifter on the floor. All 4 wheels should light up when it is fully engaged. That does not happen now and the 4 wheel drive definitely does not work.
