Question

I have a '94 gmc Jimmy s-15 and it keeps shutting off

Sent to Car Experts July 30, 2006 1:39 p.m.

I have a '94 gmc Jimmy s-15 and it keeps shutting off when driving then after it sits 5-10 min it will start again and run fine. I have put a new fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor, dist. chip, battery, ign. coil. Plug wires and plugs are good. Also i took intake (CPI) off and cleaned the hose connections, but after I done that it ran fine (20) miles , then it started losing power but did not die.Now there is a pinging sound by the intake and dies again. I did take it to a dealer when it first started dying but they could not find what was wrong.Thank you for any suggestions
