I have a 1996 GMC Sierra stepside. The air conditioner compressor kicks off on its own although the fan runs fine on any speed. If I rev up the engine it will kick back on and run fine for a while. It stays on longer when the fan is set for higher speeds for some reason. Any idea what's going on? Thanks for any help you can give me.
