Question

GMC 1500 Window Motor Cable?

Sent to Car Experts June 29, 2006 1:12 p.m.

I have a 99 GMC 1500 and yesterday the driver's side window motor cable came loose and wrapped itself around the pulley. Can you direct me to a window motor diagram which show how the cable is reset and where it goes?

Many Thanks,

Jason

The cable is probably damaged, as they do get frayed or stretched. It wraps around the small Pulleys located top & Bottom of window Regulator. If you are able to succeed in putting cable back on, it will come off again, due to the tension created in Up or Down movement. I have done this a fewe times & it isn't worth the aggrevation.
