I currently have a 2000 GMC Jimmy(4WD) and have recently noticed a new sound coming from the front end. It kind of sounds like when you have a new set of tires on a big truck going down the freeway. You can only hear it after about 35 mph and the pitch gets higher the faster you go. I had the transmission serviced and there appeared to be no defects there. I'm thinking it has something to do with the front axel or wheels(maybe wheel bearings?) since it's related to speed, but wanted to get some other thoughts about the matter. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Reply to BOBBY's Post: Thanks for responding to my question. It doesn't sound like a squeal, but I would say that it does sound like a growling noise. I think the sound is still there at lower speeds, but its just at a higher pitch and louder at higher speeds, so it's more obvious. I hope this helps answer your question. I look forward to your reply.
