My 1996 GMC 1500, 5.7L stoped running. The fuel pump is good and I changed the fuel filter. It is getting fuel up to the engine. I can spray carb cleaner in the breather and it will crank up long enough to run the carb cleaner out but I can not get it to start. What should I check next?

Optional Information:
1996 GMC 1500 5.7L

Already Tried:
Checked fuel pump, changed fuel filter, checked to see if fuel is getting to the engine. It will turn over but not start. It will start with carb cleaner sprayed in the breather but just long enough to burn it out.

Reply to al's Post: I said in my first question that I know that the fuel pump is working, I can hear it and I know that there is fuel getting to the engine. I checked at the fuel rail on top of the engine. The answer I got told me to do everything that I said in my question that I had allready done. I need to know the next step. Please read carefully next time what I said that I have done so you wont be telling me to do steps that I have allready taken. I cant afford to pay for advice to do something that I have done.
