Question

1999 gmc yukon, ignition switch will not turn,why?

ignition is locked in the off position.

Already Tried:
wiggle the steering wheel, all is locked.

The ignition switch (key cylinder has wear in it). If you wiggle it long enough sometimes it will turn, but you will have to get the lock cylinder replaced. The tumblers do not move enough to release the lock that keeps it from turning. Or the lock keepers have come loose. I have replace many lock cylinders for this. Hope this helps.
