I have a 1994 GMC one ton with a 454 engine, What other then EGR would make the manifols get hot instantly, after driving they get cherry red, the coolant system does not over heat, it doesn't smoke or really doesn't seem to loose power.
I just bought the truck, I did find it has after market switch for the the trans, Could that effect the timing, by mis wiring????
