how to adjust a rocker arm in 1989 gmc 1500 2wd automatic with a 4.3 motor?

Already Tried:
try to adjust the rocker arm but still making noise,im scare to adjusting to much and lock a motor or something like that

can you be more specific please ,because i can understand the table.you mean with the piston n0 1 up i can adjust a rocker arm in that cilynder,just adjust a nut whith a socket and that said?i dont need any other tool? i have to adjust both at the same , what torque?it that have any combination in pistons?like 1and 4 if so can i ajust those at the same time?

Just because the piston is up it does not mean it is on the compression stroke, you need to hold your finger over the hole to see when the compression come up it will be quite obvious, then be sure the timing mark is on 0. The way to read the table is, on #1 you adjust the 1, 2 and 3 intake rockers and the 1, 5 and 6 exhaust rockers. And on the #4 after you rotate the crank 360 degrees you adjust the 4, 5 and 6 intake rockers and the 2, 3 and 4 exhaust rockers.
