Hello there,

I'm thinking the rocker arms are talking to ya...if it's more of a top end click/clatter type of noise that increases with rpms, they could probably stand to be adjusted.

There is a possibility the oil pressure is low, but it sounds more along the lines of an adjustment.

As long as it's not a lower end knocking type noise, that would indicate something more serious.

.

It is possible, but 99% of the time it can be adjusted out.

Best of luck!

Reply to Virtual Wrench's Post: Sorry for the time lapse.Well I did investigating myself and was given bad info.I found the problem and you were veryvery close,I had ask him to check all rockers for play and unusual anything. He said he did.He did not the problem was the # 8 cylinder valve had lost a keeper and dropped, and bent. This is the funny part,he is driving it on 7 cylinders being stubborn because I found out he told a story.Sorry did not mean to waste your time.I am extremely good at the diagnostic field and just
couldn't find the time. The major mistake was not following the prime rule never trust anyone, start from the beginging.I have learned that lesson ,well I can't count that high.I have about 28 years under my belt,I now do building maintenance. My speciality was computer diagnostic and electrical.Thank you for your help.
