I have a 1995 delta 88 3.8 liter 4 dr sedan, I started smelling gas fumes yesterday.
I opened the hood to find out that the plastic FUEL lines
that lead from the gas tank are LEAKING, can the fuel lines
be repaired if so HOW? or would it be better to replace the fuel lines? Could there be a Recall on this fuel line leaking problem
from the dealer? where would I get a replacement fuel line?
how hard is it to replace the fuel line?

Thank you in advance!!!

Optional Information:
1995 Oldsmobile delta royal 3.8 liter

Already Tried:
considering cutting the line at the leaking part and using rubber tubing to fix the leak

Hello dan

What Info I need from you is, HOW to replace the
High pressure Fuel lines on the car. one line attaches to one end of the fuel rail that feeds the injectors and the other line is the return line to the gas tank. the fuel line looks like it is one piece from the gas tank, BOTH lines go into the Firewall so I am not sure where they can be disconected to be replaced? Do I need to go to a GM dealer to buy a replacement Fuel line? I think there is a special tool needed to remove
the fuel line from the fuel rail am I correct? does the fuel line flow under the body of the car? So far I the car has not set any error codes. I do work on cars so if you can guide me in the right direction it would be a big help.

Thanks

fred

Relist: I prefer a second opinion.
All of the info that I have received is good BUT
I still have would like to know how to REPLACE the FUEL FEED LINES that connect to the fuel rail
of my 1995 Olds delta 88 3.8 liter v6 engine. These are the FUEL lines that come from the fuel TANK out of the firewall from the gas tank. The lines look like they are made from a hard PLASTIC but I am not for sure. The lines have a QUICK disconnect fitting to the fuel rail
that goes to the fuel injectors. The line had a pin hole leak but I was able to splice a RUBBER fuel line hose to repair it. NOW it has sprung another leak and I think the entire fuel feed line needs to be replaced. Most auto parts stores workers were not able to help. Can these fuel feed lines be replaced?

THANK YOU

Fred
