Decline in fuel mileage

Sent to Car Experts August 27 06:12 AM

I have a 2002 Grand Prix w/ 59000 miles. My spouse decided to have the oxygen sensors (2 of them) changed out for preventive maintenance. This was done on 8-4-06.   The next morning, the fuel pump quit working. This was replaced on 8-8-06. Now my fuel mileage has dropped drastically down to 20mpg. Before these repairs, my fuel mileage averaged 26-30 mpg faithfully.   What could be the problem now?
