Question

X20XEV Engine Diffrences

Sent to Car Experts June 20, 2006 2:49 p.m.

i have a GM motor ecotec 2ltr 16v X20XEV engine it is fitted in a english Vauxhall astra same as a Opal kadett the engine i am taking out has a alloy sump and the engine i was going to fit has a steel sump. just before fitting all i was going to do is change sumps over but i have found out that the two engines have diffrent crank sensors and this is telling me that the internal could be diffrent as the crank srnsor is fitted on to the engine block not sump
Any advice would be appreiceted from accros the pond
Cheers Damion
