i have a 99 Chevy Malibu. The water light came on this morning. It beeped twice and then went off. It is not overheating and there is fluid in the overflow. Any suggestions on what this might mean?

Usually the low coolant sensor is bad when this happens. It' fairly easy to change and the dealer may call it a low coolant module.I would flush the cooling system before I replaced it though usually dirty coolant causes the sensor to stick.

Reply to Davo/diablo666's Post: The coolant shouldn't be bad. I just replaced it about 25K miles ago when we replaced the water pump. Should i be concerned with driving the vehicle, even though it isn't overheating? GM says that i shouldn't have to replace the coolant until 150K...even though I already have once.
