I have a 94 geo metro, 1 lt, throttle body which has an idle problem. The mech says it is a little box of tricks attached to the throttle body which is the problem. This box contains an electric motor and a switch and the motor pushes a rod out to increase the throttle when the engine is cold. Where can I purchase a replacement and or what is the number of this "box of tricks" so that the local auto store can order one for me?

A "little box of tricks" huh. Well, alright, sounds a little technical but I think I know to what the mechanic is referring.

The "box of tricks" should be the Idle Speed Control Motor.

Here is a link to the Borg/Warner replacement part at Advance Auto.

(Don't be alarmed if the photo doesn't look right. Advance usually used generic part photos on their website so that likely isn't the actual part photo.)
