1997 Geo tracker, Manual tranny, 2 wheel drive. Will not ...

1997 Geo tracker, Manual tranny, 2 wheel drive. Will not start or crank. Battery replaced 1.5 weeks ago. Now wont start again. Moved the shift lever back and forth trying to see if it may be safety switch but now luck. The car was able to start by using a battery-booster , (but not a jump start). I think it is the battery, Wal-mart says battery is good.

Any ideas?
