Alternator?
Sent to Car Experts December 05 06:12 PM

My battery light on '94' ford fiesta keeps fading on and off. Have been told its the alternator going, hovewver I have just done a 300 mile round trip and theres no change. Could it possibly be that the belt needs tightening? as it does appear a bit loose.Any advice welcomed

Hello

The quickest way to tell if the belts too loose is If you can turn the pulley on the alternator with your hand, the belts too loose.

Do you have a voltmeter you can take a reading for me?
