94, mits montero 3.5 auto, 4x4 has no power. ck'd timing,exhaust,ignition, what am i not checking

Why was the first engine changed? What happened to it?

couldnt tell you gentleman wanted to replace I did however see that the compression readings were all very different. so i complied and replaced the engine for him
