Not at all it is perfectly normal to have a sligjht increase in RPMs when there is a power demand on the engine. It's to keep it from bogging down or stalling should you deside to suddenly take of from the stoped position

it does seem to idle smoother when you turn the wheel. that is why i thougth there migth be a problem.

If the idle is a little rough feeling you might do well to clean the throttle body, flap and ports. If you have a ford product they make a special cleaner for it. If not carburator cleaner will work for anything esle. Use an old tooth brush and have someone hold the gas peddle to the floor while you clean it out that should smooth out your idle.
