car died on me while driving and i veered it into parking lot and try to restart but it wont..it turns over but it just wont connect to get it running and when i do turn it over u smell a faint gas smell.but it wont start,, can u tell me the problem please

  First thing you need to do is check for spark at the plugs and the fuel pressure.
