Hi again

This is underfuelling and can be due to a leaking vacuum pipe, leaking intake gasket, faulty fuel pump, blocked fuel filter, etc.....

Check for intake leaks at the pipes and seams to start with. You may be able hear the leak if you listen closely.

Have you got access or can you acquire an automotive test meter which tests volts, ohms, pulsewidth, frequency, etc?

Cheers

Geordie

Hi

I think your vehicle is equipped with a MAF (air flow sensor) and it could very well be that there is an air leak after the sensor which is causing the O2 sensor to switch low to try and increase the fueling, hence the heavy gas usage.

Check for leaks as I outlined above and let me know what you find.

Cheers
