AC drainage hose is clogged.
Sent to Car Experts February 13 01:18 PM

My drainage hose in my airconditioning unit in my 1995 Honda Odessey is clogged, and i am getting puddles of water on my carpets on the drivers and passengers sides. Where is the hose located so i can run a fish or something else to unclogg it? I think the hose runs along the firewall, but i am not sure where it is. If I had a picture to look at or something, it would be very helpfull.

If you look under the hood at the firewall on the passenger side, probably just below the A/C lines coming in, you should see a rubber hose coming through and pointing down.

Reply to Tech501's Post: I located the hose you told me to look for, but i don,t think that fixed the problem. The first thing i noticed before the water started to appear on the rugs was a sort of howling sound when i turned up the air blower to the highest speed. then the watewr started to appear on the rugs. I figuered the drainage hoser was clogged. There are a couple of hoses coming out of a plastic bottle, one of them leads down to the bottom of the car. I put a hanger in there as far as i could get it. Nothing was on the end of the hanger. I saw some kind of switch on the top of the bottle. Do you think that switch is broken? or does that even matter. or is there something else i could try?

This hose isn't coming out of any bottle. It's about 3/4 of an inch thick and comes through the firewall. It is possible they didn't use a hose and there is just a plastic nipple protruding through the firewall, but Honda's usually use a hose. If you look umder the dash, remove the plastic cover so you can see up there and you should be able to see where the plastic housing narrows to a small nipple and goes through the firewall.

Reply to Tech501's Post: I see the hose you are explaining. it is 3/4 inch thick, and it runs down to the bottem of the car. but if you follow the hose upwards, it leads to a t-off one hose tees of to a clear plastic hose, i cant see where that ends up, and the 3/4 inch thick hose goes up to a plastic bottle. like i said, i ran a hanger up the 3/4 inch thick hose, and nothing seemed to be clogged, unless it is that claer plastic hose that is clogged or somethin is up with that bottle.
