My Customer (name blocked for privacy) starts some times ’but some time it just turns over & over .I think it might be the fuel pump but how do I know for sure? .It seems to start easer when it's cold.Sometime when I'm on the highway it won't go past 3000 rpm's unless I take my foot of the gas and step into it slowly. Changed the plug's rotor ,cap, fuel filter.Checked for codes and none showed up.What 's next ? the only other thing is the remote start, but it's been in for almost 2years and this just started about 6 months ago

REPLIED Check Mark

You need to put a fuel pressure gauge on it when it won't start and if you find no pressure, check for power going back to the pump from the relay. It's usually a gray wire and only stays on for 3-5 seconds when the key is cycled on.

I've had the fuel pressure checked , but I'm not sure if it was checked when it wouldn't start.I always hear the fuel pump kick on when I turn the key on so I don't know if the gray wire has any thing to do with it.I had plenty of pressure ,but never had the volume checked? dose that make sense to check that also ? My truck doesn't realy get very good gas milage do you think maybe fuel injectors?
