Emissions Test (NOX) Failed
Sent to Car Experts December 31 02:40 PM

I have a 1995 Chev Camaro 3.4L FI. I have replaced the O2 sensors and the EGR valve ($279), cleared the trouble codes, and the EGR valve trouble code solenoid #3 keeps coming up. Also recently had the emissions tested, NOX levels were too high and I failed. Would a higher octane fuel help to eliminate these problems, especially the NOX results on the emissions test?

Nox is a result of your exaust being too hot it causes a chemical reaction that makes extra oxegen atom to attach itself to the co2 that the exaust is creating the EGR valve is uassly the culpret for this if you are still getting codes for it maybe you sould  beleve them and check the #3 solenoid also check to make sure the port under the EGR valve isn't clogged.
