dodge neon in trouble!

I drive a 1997 dodge neon highline DOHC with 97k miles on it. I have a few questions about timing belts. what kind do I have and when do I need it replaced? will it give me any warning that it needs to get replaced? if it breaks what kind of damage can it do and how pricey is it? aslo, NAPA told me I needed to replace my ignition coil. then someone told me that they NAPA had to have been lying becuase I have an electronic ignition and that electronic ignitions dont have a coil. I think they do. could you please set us straight! thanks for your time! bye~
