REPLIED Check Mark

You didn't state what vehicle we are working on but, most fuse boxes have several free spades that are marked batt. . Take a test light and check to see which ones are hot all the time and use a female connector to attach the power wire to it. Make sure you run an inline fuse to protect the circuit. If none of these are available they make a connector that fits under the existing fuses to tap into that circuit. Again use the test light to find the hot circuit.

Thanks. So, I need to buy a test light to complete my installation? OK. The connector available is at any auto parts store? I'm supposed to tap into that circuit?....ROFLMAO! (Roll on floor laughing my ass off!). I have no idea what you just said and I have been trying to splice into anything for 12 hours now. Please don't take offense, but I have the front of my Lexus disassembled trying to find somewhere to put a wire and I am Effing lost. I will gladly pay you what you're worth if you can tell me where the effing wires are supposed to go. There are no plugs, holes etc... anywhere!
Signed,

Hello Enginboy!
I got fed up and took it to the back of Circuit city and paid the kid on the side to do it this afternoon. Well, guess what? It worked all the way home until I pulled into the garage and noticed my headlights were on. So...I turned them off and the damn thing went off too! I laughed so freakin hard my side hurt. He hooked it up to the lights! So, I need to know how to make it right. I hope you can guide me. Happy holidays to you and yours!

i assume he hooked it up to the headlights at the fuse box just take the wire out and touch it to other fuses untill you find one that is constant hot and conect it there. DONE.

Merry Christmas! I thought I'd throw a little extra in your pay envelope for grins. Thanks for your help. I'll just do what you said behind the radio which is where he did his wiring. Thanks again.
