replacing starter, 1983 chev truck

I’m replacing the starter on my 1983 Chevy C-10. I have the part, but I don’t want to get right into it until I know what I’m doing. I can’t seem to find any help online, so I was wondering if there’s anything specific I should know. For example, is there anything i need to disconnect before I get going, or is it as easy as taking the old one off and putting the new one on? Any information would be wonderful, thanks so much!
