Hello!

The water pump on this engine is difficult to see, but if it were installed incorrectly you would have the same symptoms as with a water pump problem on any other engine. Symptoms of an incorrectly installed or faulty water pump might include:

(1) engine coolant leaking from the water pump area

(2) engine overheating due to the resulting low coolant level

(3) any type of unusual noise from the water pump area.

If you recently paid to have the water pump replaced and have any concerns like those listed above, it would be a good idea to return to the shop that installed the new pump to allow them to take a quick look at it to verify that it is not leaking and is functioning correctly.

I hope this is helpful; if so, please click my accept button and leave positive feedback! Thanks!

That light is coming from the coolant resevoir level sensor. That's the plastic container. If the level inside that is full to the "full cold" line, then the sensor is bad or stuck,or the wire or connector is bad. Give the resevoir a good wrap with your fist to see if that frees up the sensor in there.

Reply to Michael's Post: I checked the reservoir and banged it with my fist. No luck. Also, I do not believe there are any sensors in this item since I do not see any electrical wiring.
