This is a typical Problem. The Mechanism is probably stuck between CD Slots & the Controller IC is giving the Error Message.
You could try:
Unplugging Unit or Battery Cable.
Upon restoring Power, Push Eject to Reset.

That does NOT work all the Time.

The only other alternative would be to Take Unit Apart. It should be done by a Technician familiar with that Type Unit.

Call your Dealer & see if they use a Local Repair Shop. If not, you may have to Ship. Let me know if you can't locate a Repair Shop, I can Post a couple of 800 Numbers for Repair.

Absolutely.........I Repair a lot of different Factory Units & this is one Unit I would have to send out. The Mechanism is complicated & trying to Remove or Repair yourself, would be more costly. Some Shops will Not Repair Units that have been previously Opened.

Sorry.

Reply to Lurch's Post: Please refund my account. I was not able to repair the problem with my cd player with the responses I got. I had already tried to shut power off and on and this did not work. I knew that the unit probably needs professional service and have taken the unit back to my dealer. Thanks! Bill
