Question

is it probable for a rotor or hub bearing problem to just appear or is

Sent to Car Experts October 10, 2006 9:42 p.m.

I took my 2003 VW Beetle to the dealer today for repair-coolant sensor light was replaced and window switch-after leaving, I discovered a new noise, whirring sound coming from the front end on acceleration, that stopped when breaking. I returned to the dealership and after review, they told me that it is either a rotor problem as there is some corrosion on the front passenger side or it is a hub bearing-where was this noise before I took it in and what could they have done while repairing the other issues to cause this problem? I have an extended warranty as I bought the car used and already paid my deductible for todays repairs-they insist they never touched the tires or anything in that area, however, I also asked them to check the tires for me today. This vehicle passed 110 point pre owned checklist before purchase.Any help on this issue?
