Question

there is a clicking sound and the tire begins to wobble ...

Sent to Car Experts October 05, 2006 3:34 p.m.

there is a clicking sound and the tire begins to wobble when applying the brakes or slowing down on my left front wheel of my 1988 chrysler lebaron coupe. None of the lugs are missing and the brakes are good...doesn't happen until after I've been driging for ten minutes or more. It also seems to be unstable when turning either right or left and there is a lot of noise coming from the suspension area on that side. when driving there is no vibration or noise at all.. It happens only when I begin slowing down and espe cially when I apply the brakes. If it were my guess it would have something to do with the idler arms or tie rods...maybe a worn busihing? How about the old U-joint...could that be shot???

Optional Information:

ACCEPTED Check Mark

You definately need to get it inspected. It sound like you could have a really bad wheel bearing or tie rod end. A quick inspection should reveal the problem.
