I have a 1992 olds bravada that will start with a hard time when cold but the more I drive the harder it gets to start then wont start at all unless we spray starter fluid in the fi carb. my husband checked and it's getting gas and the fuel pump has been replaced. we are confused.

Greetings! U could have a bad fuel pump. I would rec to check fuel pressure. Fuel injected cars are very fuel pressure sensitive. Fuel pressure is very important and must be within specifications! But if the pressure is low, it does not mean the pump is bad. A plugged fuel filter, a pinched line, and low voltage at the pump can contribute to low fuel pressure. All three must be check before replacing the pump! U can get a fuel pressure gauge at a local auto parts store for cheap.

Another thing to check if fuel trigger. Fuel trigger is the singal from the computer to the injector. To check this you will need a noid light. Just plug it in to the injector clip and crank away. If there is a signal, (wich there should be) the noid light will blink!
