1992 Full Size Bronco with full size problem

I recently bought a 1992 full size Bronco 4WD, 5.8L eng, with 129K on it. Last week I changed all the fluids, plus the rotor, distributor cap and serp belt. It road like a champ. Since that time I put about 60 miles on it and now I am experiencing problems. The tach does not register, the voltage meter does not register, the truck pulsates when driving almost surging.. I am not sure what it could be.. can you think of anything? I thought perhaps I messed up the wires when putting them on the new cap?? But I took my time and really paid attention. It did however rotate slightly to line up when I put it on. The old one did not fit in the grove like the new one did so it rotated slightly. Thoughts??

If you rotated the dist. cap from it's origanal position you changed the ignition timing you have to retime the engine. Also bad ignition wires will cause surging and hesitation.

As far as your gauges are concerned look for an electric plug that may have been upset also check the plug at the fire wall wiggle the wires see if the gauges start working.
