My car was delaying, so after taking it to a transmission mechanic he advised that it was an internal problem, forward clutch was burnt out, and a new one was supposedly put in.

If it has a delayed or harsh upshift, the pcm may need to be reflashed with the correct axle ratio code, some newer transmissions require the pcm to be reflashed for it to shift properly.
