6.oL removal for swap

What is the optimal procedure/sequence for removing a Vortec 6.0L motor from a 2003 silverado 2500HD so I retain all the necessary electronics, etc.. Is there any unforseen problems or components I may forget or not see while pulling this motor? I need it complete so as I can install it after rebuild for race car. thanks!
