REPLIED Check Mark

Hi again. I ran out of room on the last reply. Another possibility and reason the water pump seemed to have corrected it last time is if there was an air pocket in the cooling system. Do not rule out the thermostat though, new parts can be defective or fail after a short period of time.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Hi Brian. I know it sounds odd but last month on a new yorker it took six thermostats before I finally got a good one. I started tewsting them by bringing a cup of water to 180 degrees in the mycrowave and putting the thermostats into it. All opened at about 160 instead of 190. Thats what temperature the water was when it finally closed. So yes as unlikely as it seems you have a thermostat that is opening too soon. If the thermostat does its job coolant never enters the radiator until it is atleast 190. Also until you get this fixed your gas mileage will suffer because you may not be getting into closed loop. Test and then change your thermostat.
