Sent to Car Experts September 04, 2006 11:14 p.m.

i have a 1999 chevrolet prizm and the motor was just recently pulled because the pulley to the main belt broke off the motor and it had to be replaced. now ive drove my car a week and i had to disconnect the battery to reset the computer because the check engine light had came on and my mechanic told me to do that. well, when i reconnected the battery and restarted the car, the check engine light went off and now i have a O/D disconnected LIGHT is on now. i redid the battery again and the light is still coming on. i do not know why it came on and i want to know what that means, does it mean my overdrive disconnected or something else has gone wrong now? my sealtbelt light no longer works if i take my seatbelt off before i pull in my driveway. like it use to after i took the cables off the battery to reset the computer. please tell me what is wrong. it is a japanese motor 4 cylinder, automatic transmission.
