1991 ford thunderbird

1991 Ford Thunderbird 5.0 HO EFI
A couple of weeks ago my T-Bird cut off at a stop sign and would not start back up, we pushed it off the road and tried to start the car, the motor turns over but will not start, about 15 minutes later the car started. I woke up one morning tried to start the car it would not start, i drove my other car to work, when i got home i tried to start the T-Bird and it started right up. On another occasion i went over a bouble railway crossing and the motor shut off, i cruised to a stop and after about 10 minutes of trying to re fire the motor, it finally started back up. I have changed the rotor button, distributor, plug wires, ignition coil, ignition switch, cylinder and keys and i still have this intermitent problem, any ideas??

Thanks,

Drew

REPLIED Check Mark

best advice is when it dies you need to check for loss of spark or fuel it sounds like it may be a bad connection or wire. Have you tried running vehichle and wiggling wire harness to duplicate the scenario. also have you scanned the eec to see if any codes are stored? It may something simple like bad contact to fuel pump relay. If this has been helpful an accept would be appreciated or if you need more info let me know. Thank you Bill.
