My dash is no longer a luminated at night. Should I replace the blubs or fuses? I own a Pontiac Grand Prix 1998.

check the fuses. there is a fuse for the IP (instrument panel). the fuse slot will be marked IP or CRTY (courtesy). The chance of blowing all the bulbs at once are very slim.

I replaced the IP fuse. I still am unable to see the speedometer at night. However, testing the fuses and replacing the dead ones reinstated several other functions.

Are the lights around the speedometer the only lights that do not work now?

Tack and fuel guages don't light up either

That would be bulbs. They are not that hard to change. You will have to remove the instrument cluster though. If detailed instructions are needed let me know.
