backup aid

i have a 03 ford expedition eddie bauer.. what cause the back up aid to work some time especially when it is high temperature out side i get a check back up aid message

More then likly you have a failing sensor in the rear that becomes open in high temps. If you get an error message then the computer has stored a code for that certian sensor. Unfortantly your local ford dealer is the only one that has the test equiptment for that certian computer. I hope this helps you
