HI, hope you can help? Have 2001 dodge ram 1500 pick-up. I use a 8ft cargo trailer, up until two weeks ago lights woked fine, then it would blow trailer lights and parking ligts on truck. Have changed the wire harness. I can sit in the driveway with lights on, in drive with foot on the brake and lights all work. Then when I start to drivethe fuse for parking lamps blows and I lose trailer lights, parking lights and dash lights? confused??

changed wire harness and checked for any breaks in wires changed fuse

Hello

OK you have a short to ground on your trailer or in the light fixures. It is probably in the harnes because you say it happens when driving, I strongly suggest you very carefully inspect every in of harness. Please get abck with me if you have any questions. There are tests to do but inspection is needed first.

Do you mean side light not working then repaired and still not working? If this is so then I would start looking there

I have replaced the upper side light, light still will not work, all other lights work, can find no break in any wires???

Hello

Did you replace just the bulb or recepticle?? Do you have a test light to see if power is going to light recepticle?? I would pull recepticle and check to see if connections are good!

I did replace the receptacle, but i do not have a test light. I will get one and try what you said. thanks for your help!!
