I replaced the battery in my 2000 Mustang GT and now it won’t start. It cranks, but the light flashes THEFT and it won’t turn over. I called both a locksmith and the dealer and they assure me the problem is not the keys or the computer resetting. I also noticed that the odometer has reset to zero. What could it be?

Try locking the vehicle with the key and leaving it alone for a while. Then unlock it with the key and try it again.

Response to bestservices's Post: I tried this without success. I also notice that the odometer has reset to all zeros. Hope that helps.
